New protected areas on Tjiwarl Country
The Goldfields just got another treasure!
Tjiwarl Country is celebrating the expansion of Wanjarri Nature Reserve and the creation of a new jointly-managed national park! How good’s that!?
109,000 hectares of conservation estate have been added to WA’s Goldfields, protecting more of our incredible landscapes, culture, plants and animals for the future.
A massive congratulations to Tjiwarl Traditional Owners, Tjiwarl Aboriginal Corporation, Premier Roger Cook, Environment Minister Reece Whitby MLA, and the WA Government for protecting more of what matters most!
